Medical Mega Camp
Leicester Charnwood Lions Club organised a Medical Mega Camp on Sunday, 26 February 2017. The event proved hugely successful, serving the healthcare needs of our community.
Key achievements on the day:
- Over 800 patients treated
- 33 cataract surgeries performed
- 55 hearing aids distributed
- Multiple other treatments provided across ophthalmology, audiology and general medicine
The camp also identified four to five patients requiring transformative surgical interventions, including renal transplant, heart bypass and double knee replacement procedures. The Lions Club committed to funding these life-changing operations.
