Ukraine Appeal 2022

The people of Ukraine are suffering terrible tragedies as a result of their country being invaded by Russia.

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club has played its part in the Ukraine Appeal by donating various items as a result of raising funds in excess of £3,000.

Our members rallied together to provide both monetary contributions and physical items to support those affected by the conflict.

Sunday Brunch Fundraiser 2022

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club organised a Sunday Brunch fundraiser at Indigo Restaurant on 20 March 2022. The event benefited two worthy causes — Parkinson’s and LOROS.

The event was fully sold out with all proceeds donated to the nominated charities.

Malawi Flood Appeal 2022

Tropical cyclone Gombe hit Malawi in mid-March 2022, causing substantial damage in the country and impacting the lives of local Malawi citizens.

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club contributed towards the Malawi Flood Appeal. The Mandala Lions Club in Malawi worked directly at the disaster victims’ site to provide relief and support.

Cheque Presentation to LOROS

Lion President together with Lion Sunil Lakhani made a cheque presentation to LOROS (Leicestershire and Rutland Organisation for the Relief of Suffering) of £1,000.

LOROS is a local hospice providing palliative care to patients with life-limiting illnesses across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
