Coach Trip to Hunstanton

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club organised a coach trip to Hunstanton, a seaside resort, for community members who might otherwise be unable to visit such places.

It was a fun filled and spiritual day featuring:

A puja (Hindu prayer ceremony) conducted on the beach by Rashmibhai Joshi
A picnic lunch provided by the club
Participation from club members, their partners, families and members of the local community

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club hosted a Diwali lunch for the elderly at Geeta Bhavan on 25 November 2021. The event brought joy and fellowship to elderly members of the community during the Diwali celebrations.

Medical Mega Camp

Leicester Charnwood Lions Club organised a Medical Mega Camp on Sunday, 26 February 2017. The event proved hugely successful, serving the healthcare needs of our community.

Key achievements on the day:

Over 800 patients treated
33 cataract surgeries performed
55 hearing aids distributed
Multiple other treatments provided across ophthalmology, audiology and general medicine

The camp also identified four to five patients requiring transformative surgical interventions, including renal transplant, heart bypass and double knee replacement procedures. The Lions Club committed to funding these life-changing operations.
